Prologue

A super X58-class solar flare erupts towards Earth, the equivalent of over a billion hydrogen bombs. The immediate paralysis of modern technology dismantles human civilization. Capitalizing on an opportunity to wage war, several nations plot their complete domination. Nations rage and walls tumble down to the point that desolation becomes the greater evil. This motivates the formation of a coalition that aims to restore and rebuild humanity.
As peace and balance are significantly restored, certain nations unite and work together to avoid another devastating cosmic tsunami. Support for this movement grew with such intensity it became the nucleus of a multi-trillion-dollar business called "Staunch Industries," where advanced technology has granted humanity tangible access into their own imaginations and beyond. With this revelation, humans can explore the realm of thoughts, memories, ideas, and emotions in ways only once dreamed of. Inevitably, the layers to this technology are more intricate and costly than first thought, and soon everyone involved is forced to confront an unexpected twist in reality itself.

synopsis

Staunch Industries is the leader of technological advancements in energy, teleportation, and space travel, thereby becoming the prominent provider of Earth’s consumer energy. The "Ambition” is their preeminent space station that resides in the most hostile environment known to man, the Sun’s corona. In a curious turn of events, Staunch Industries has inadvertently revealed themselves to be the subject of an outside force that has been, presumably, steering them towards a greater purpose.

Azarus, who was created to be a worker clone is a prototype of genetic engineering that splices human with animal DNA. These clones are created without sexual organs and with a controlled self-awareness in order to keep them isolated, ensuring they stay focused on their work. Azarus is gradually breaking free from these restraints and begins to pursue a higher purpose even at the risk of utter defeat.

If we’ve master an understanding of the cosmos then why is the answer to our purpose still more distant than the next galaxy?

While children in this world are carefully conceived and raised through scientific procedure - genetic enhancement incubation centers (GEIC) - Commander Rielle Avila, a lead officer on the Ambition, is trying to cope with the strange truth she's learned about the identity of her birth and adoptive parents. Making matters worse, Rielle is forced to face the darker underbelly and the larger social implications of her employer, Staunch Industries. At the same time, Rielle’s story propels us forward into the corporation’s future.

R.O.D. is a genetically engineered pain in the ass. If R.O.D. wasn't such a vast source of knowledge, they would have recycled him years ago, but it's only when R.O.D. becomes a rogue, suicidal proctor clone, setting off a series of catastrophic events, that they wish they had. What has motivated R.O.D. to take such extreme measures?
